The stocks of metal and mining companies are expected to be positive next week, in line with the broader market, as sentiment remains upbeat due to hopes of robust earnings for the September quarter. Stocks of most metal and mining companies ended higher last week, with the Nifty Metal index outperforming benchmarks Nifty 50 and Sensex for the fourth week in a row. Metal stocks are positive on steel companies as it expects prices of the alloy to remain stable.
