Pharma Stocks Outlook for the Week – 09 to 13.02.2015

Stocks
of frontline drug makers would continue their downtrend next week on account of
profit booking. There has been quite a bit of profit booking in pharma stocks
yesterday. We are also expecting muted earnings numbers for pharmaceutical
companies in the following week. The Street will also be looking for Oct-Dec
earnings of specific stocks including, Cipla Ltd, Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd,
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Natco Pharma Ltd and Ipca Laboratories Ltd. The
muted trend would continue next week. We may also see some pressure on the BSE index.
We expect Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd to outperform, and short-selling for Dr
Reddy's Laboratories Ltd's stocks. We also expect pressure on stock of Ipca
Laboratories and expect the company to post poor Oct-Dec earnings.
